Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — At the initiative of the Committee for Competition Development and Consumer Rights Protection, local boiler houses have been switched to the household consumer tariff for natural gas payments, now set at 650 soums per cubic meter.
Previously, local boiler houses supplying thermal energy to residents consumed natural gas in volumes exceeding established norms. This resulted in gas costs being calculated at rates four times higher than the base tariff.
Consequently, residents using services from such boiler houses were forced to pay significantly inflated prices for thermal energy.
To address this issue, the Committee proposed revising the tariff policy.
Now, local boiler houses servicing departmental and municipal housing, dormitories, legal entities, and apartment buildings will pay for natural gas at the base household consumer rate of 650 soums per cubic meter.
