Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbayeva met with the UNDP Resident Representative in Uzbekistan Akiko Fujii.
During the meeting, they discussed Uzbekistan’s active participation in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and explored prospective initiatives and proposals. Special attention was given to the reforms being carried out in the country across social-political and economic spheres, in education, and the positive changes towards gender equality.
The parties exchanged views on improving Uzbekistan’s positions in international rankings and discussed opportunities for further collaboration in this regard.
Additionally, they talked about joint efforts to develop educational programs and methodological materials to enhance the activity of local Councils and people’s deputies.
