Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During her visit to Dushanbe, Tanzila Narbaeva, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, held a meeting with Sahibagha Gafarova, Chairperson of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

At the beginning of the conversation, Chairperson Narbaeva congratulated Gafarova on the successful conduct of the elections to the Milli Majlis and her election as the head of the Azerbaijani parliament. She expressed confidence that high-level cooperation and close ties between the legislative bodies of the two countries would continue to strengthen.

During the meeting, both sides noted that the relations between our countries are rapidly developing, thanks to the friendly relations between the leaders of both nations.

The discussion emphasized that the swift development of cooperation serves to further expand connections between the legislative bodies.

During the dialogue, the parliamentary leaders agreed to elevate cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries to a higher level and to continue strengthening relations based on a new "roadmap" for 2024-2025.

For her part, Gafarova wished for success in conducting the upcoming elections in our country, based on universally recognized international democratic principles and at a high organizational level.
