In his telegram, Rahmon congratulated Shavkat Mirziyoyev with landslide victory in the presidential elections in Uzbekistan. He said that Mirziyoyev’s victor is evidence for wide support of population.

The telegram reads that Mirziyoyev is known and respected in Tajikistan as the supporter of gradual development of friendly, good neighborhood and multilateral cooperation between two nations.

Emomali Rahmon wished strong health, happiness, prosperity and success as the public servant, peace and stable progress to the Uzbek people.

Later, Emomali Rahmon and Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation.

Tajik President once again congratulated Shavkat Mirziyoyev with his election to the post of the President of Uzbekistan.

During the conversation, the sides considered wide-range of issues of the Uzbek-Tajik relations and perspectives of their development.
