The treaty on the Tajik-Uzbek state border was signed in October 2002 and regulates an agreement between the two neighbouring countries on the state border’s areas that the sides agreed on.
A relevant protocol was signed a week ago following the results of the Tajik-Uzbek intergovernmental commission on the delimitation and demarcation of the state border.
At that time, the sides were able to come to agreement on 97% of the Tajik-Uzbek state border line that stretches over 1,200 km.
