System to measure TV audience launched in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The SIAR Research and Consulting research company has so far carried out a preliminary research and launched a system of measuring TV ratings - first 180 people-metres, in Tashkent.

The system will be implemented in three more towns of Uzbekistan in March 2009, and there are plans to measure TV audience in all regions of the country by 2011.

As a result of measuring TV audience, advertisers will have an opportunity to find out about real figures on ratings of local TV channels.
