Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During a session of the council of people’s deputies of Syrdarya region, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev stated the need to turn this region into a "region of advanced innovations" in the fields of industry, entrepreneurship, agriculture, education and medicine.

According to the head of state, in an innovative region, the leaders of the region and districts should strive for innovation and change their worldview and approaches every day in order to create conditions for the population and entrepreneurs.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev also noted that in recent years, China has achieved incredible success in the fields of industry, agriculture, education and medicine and has extensive experience in science, innovation, engineering, electrical engineering, robotics and IT. 

In addition, China is the closest market for Syrdarya region in terms of transport and logistics. Over the past six years, more than 60 large industrial enterprises have been launched in the region together with Chinese investors, and in 2022 alone, more than US$250 million of Chinese investment was attracted, which is almost 90% of all investments in the region.

According to Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the experience of China should become the basis for the development of all areas in Syrdarya region.
