Surkhandarya Region Leads Uzbekistan in Vegetable Production
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Surkhandarya Region became the leader in vegetable production in Uzbekistan in January–June 2025, according to data from the National Statistics Committee.
A total of 719.7 thousand tons of vegetables were harvested in the region, the highest figure among all regions of the country.
Following Surkhandarya are Andijan Region with 670.7 thousand tons and Fergana Region with 511.8 thousand tons.
Tashkent Region produced 375 thousand tons of vegetables over six months, while Samarkand Region harvested 340.8 thousand tons.
Namangan and Bukhara regions recorded harvests of 297.7 and 291.4 thousand tons, respectively, and Kashkadarya Region collected 205 thousand tons. The lowest volumes were in Jizzakh Region with 63.9 thousand tons and the Republic of Karakalpakstan with 59.9 thousand tons.
Overall, 3.8 million tons of vegetables were grown nationwide across all categories of farms.
