Supreme muftis of four Central Asian countries have created an advisory council, supreme mufti of Kazakhstan Hajji Absattar Derbisali told a Monday press conference in Almaty.
Virtually it so happened that the first session of the Council composed of supreme muftis of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan was held on 29 October, according to him.
A decision was taken that a Council chair is elected for three years in alphabetic order, the supreme mufti indicated adding that Kazakhstan is its first chair, Interfax-Kazakhstan reported.
