Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Sudan to Uzbekistan with residence in Moscow Mohammed Hussein Hassan Zarug was received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan on 28 April 2011.

Newly appointed envoy handed over credentials to the Uzbek President Islam Karimov. During the meeting, Zarug informed the Uzbek side on situation in Sudan and the region.

The sides exchanged opinion on perspective directions of bilateral cooperation within the international structures, including the United Nations, OIC, the Uzbek ministry said.

The sides also considered issues of developing cooperation in agriculture sector. Sudanese side expressed interest in agriculture equipment, produced in Uzbekistan.
