Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Over the first nine months of 2024, subsidies from the state budget of Uzbekistan amounted to a total of 19.816 trillion soums, according to the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
According to the department's data, the largest share of subsidies during the January-September period went to the energy sector, which received 12.008 trillion soums, or 60.59% of the total allocated funds.
The social sector received 4.912 trillion soums during the same period. Subsidies for supporting entrepreneurship and ensuring employment totaled 1.385 trillion soums.
Additionally, subsidies for the development of agriculture and water management amounted to 922 billion soums, while 589 billion soums were allocated for geological exploration activities.
