Subscribers’ base of MTS Uzbekistan grows by 1.7% in October
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Number of subscribers of MTS Uzbekistan comprised 6.9 million at the end of October 2009, Russia’s Mobile TeleSystems OJSC, the largest mobile communication operator in Russia and the CIS, said in a statement.
The statement said subscribers’ base of MTS Uzbekistan grew by 1.7% or 110,000 subscribers in October compared to September 2008.
The growth of subscribers made up 30.1% compared to the same period of 2008, the Russian operator said.
Consolidated subscriber base of Mobile TeleSystems OJSC reached 97.16 million users as of 31 October 2009. During October, MTS’ consolidated subscriber base increased by 0.3 million subscribers with over 210,000 subscribers added in Russia.
