Students to be placed in dormitories through the public service centers and my.gov.uz

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On measures to improve the system of providing housing for students of higher educational institutions” was adopted.

According to the new procedure, accommodation in student dormitories of state higher educational institutions is carried out through public service centers and (or) my.gov.uz. At the same time, students are given the opportunity to control the queue online and make payments.

Rental agreements concluded with students are taxed, registered in real time using biometric identification technology (Fase-ID) from the user’s personal account.

The document approved the Administrative Regulations for the provision of public services for the placement of students of state higher educational institutions in student dormitories. There is no charge for this public service.

In the 2023/2024 academic year:

accommodation in a student hostel for first-year students will be carried out through public service centers and my.gov.uz. based on administrative regulations. At the same time, applications are accepted from 2-20 August;

accommodation in student dormitories for students of the second year and above is carried out in the traditional way. At the same time, an application for accommodation in a student hostel is submitted until 25 August 2023.

Starting from the 2024/2025 academic year, all students will be accommodated in the student residences of public higher education institutions online. At the same time, the acceptance of applications for accommodation in a hostel will continue from 1 August until the end of the academic year.

In accordance with the Regulations, certain categories of students will be admitted to the hostel on a priority basis. These include:

pupils of "Houses of Mercy", orphans and students deprived of parental care;

children from families included in the Unified Register of Social Protection,

as well as "Iron", "Women’s" or "Youth" notebooks;
