Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 3 February, under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a meeting was held focused on strengthening the country’s defense capabilities.

The Minister of Defense presented a report on the progress of tasks aimed at improving the defense industry and the measures being taken to equip the national army with modern weaponry and military equipment.

Special attention was given to the need for active involvement of the private sector in the production of defense products and the training of engineering and technical specialists.

The importance of high-quality training of military personnel capable of effectively using the latest technology and weaponry was also emphasized.

Following the meeting, the President issued a series of instructions aimed at further equipping the army with modern weapons and developing the defense industry.
