Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  A tourism symposium hosted by Hainan Island in Tashkent, featuring tour operators from Uzbekistan and China, was held to exchange experiences, discuss cooperation prospects, and expand opportunities for attracting tourists.

Jamshid Abdusalomov, the First Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee, noted that tourism cooperation between Uzbekistan and China is dynamically developing. "This contributes to strengthening friendship and solidarity between the two countries, increasing trade-economic, investment, and innovative exchanges," he said.

Participants of the symposium emphasized that Uzbekistan is actively working to increase the tourist flow from China. This includes organizing business forums and presentations with delegations from Chinese provinces.

New airline routes are being opened to expand tourist itineraries between Uzbekistan and China. The "Journey to Uzbekistan" promotional campaign is being carried out in collaboration with the largest Chinese company, Trip.com.

Additionally, Uzbekistan is implementing a "China friendly" system, creating conditions for Chinese tourists at tourist sites and preparing Chinese-speaking tour guides.

At the end of 2024, the "Year of Uzbekistan Tourism in China" is planned to begin, during which Chinese tourists will have the opportunity to explore the tourism, culture, heritage, and values of Uzbekistan.

Participants highlighted the immense potential in the field of tourism exchange between Uzbekistan and China.
