Streetpark Systems becomes the operator of paid parking in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  A new operator will manage paid parking in Tashkent. Streetpark Systems has won the auction.

On December 17, a repeat auction held on the E-auksion platform concluded, granting the rights to organize paid parking spaces across Tashkent’s streets.

The auction lasted just over 20 minutes, ending after two bids. Streetpark Systems emerged as the winner, offering 62.93 billion soums, which is 10% higher than the starting price.

In late November, the initial auction resulted in a victory for the joint venture Balcomuz, which had offered approximately 120 billion soums for a three-year parking lease. However, the deal was not finalized.

The initiative for establishing paid parking in Tashkent was formalized in October through a decree signed by Tashkent’s khokim, Shavkat Umurzakov. According to the plan, 13,200 paid parking spaces are to be introduced by August 2025, with a long-term goal of expanding to 84,000 spaces.

In November, applications for the auction were opened, granting the winning operator rights to manage 262,800 square meters of parking zones across various districts for three years. The operator is also required to invest at least $5 million in technical upgrades.

Tashkent authorities aim to launch a unified automated paid parking system by the end of this year.

Parking fees will be divided into five zones, with rates ranging from a minimum of 5,000 soums per hour to a maximum of 12,000 soums.
