Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In the city of Gulistan, Syrdarya region, a store clerk hit a 12-year-old boy who was trying to take a receipt with a QR code.

A video circulating on social media shows the clerk yelling at the boy, slapping him across the face, and then ripping the receipt and throwing it at the child.

The press service of the children’s ombudsman reported receiving a complaint from the boy’s mother, requesting action against the store employee.

At the request of the children’s ombudsman Surayo Rakhmonova, law enforcement authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident.

Entrepreneurs are required to use online cash registers and virtual cash registers, issuing receipts with QR codes and fiscal marks to customers for payments made both in cash and via terminals.
