Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Experts note that the grazing season begins on existing pastures around the railway in spring, and it is at this time that a significant increase in cases of throwing stones at trains can be observed. 

The reasons for this are varied. In most cases, this is due to the fact that the shepherds do not follow the established rules. For example, shepherds throw stones at cattle in order to drive them away from the railway tracks and thus fall into a moving train. In addition, there are citizens who, being in a state of alcoholic intoxication and others, in a sober state, as well as minors with malicious intent, throw stones at trains for "entertainment" purposes.

In April of this year, the number of instances of stone-throwing at Afrosiyob high-speed trains alone reached five. These trains received various damages, mainly broken windows. All the perpetrators of the above violations are minors. To make matters worse, this younger generation does not understand that broken glass can cause bodily harm to train passengers. 

At the moment, the damage caused to the budget of our country is significant, and is measured by a very large amount, because the windows of the Afrosiyob high-speed train brought from Spain are not produced in our country, but are brought only by special order for a large amount of money. In addition, the cost of repairs is also not small. This was reported by the information and analytical media center of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari.

However, there are other sad cases. In particular, in areas of high-speed traffic, laying of stones on railway tracks (rails) is observed. Unfortunately, not only teenagers, but also adults are keen on such actions.

It is worth noting that in order to prevent such cases, educational institutions, mahallas and other relevant organizations located in the immediate vicinity of the railway carry out explanatory and propaganda work with the population, but, as we see in practice, the situation remains serious.

It should be noted that the railway and its environs are classified as dangerous zones, and the rules and procedures for movement on it are specified separately in the legislation. All violations entail serious penalties, including large fines for each participant.
