STC: a priority in the introduction of digital technology

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Transferring trade and service facilities to online cash registers, electronic invoices and introducing labeling of alcohol and tobacco products are the priority areas of activity of the State Tax Committee. This was reported by the press service of the State Tax Committee.

Today, the state tax service, through the widespread adoption of digital technology, is building relationships with taxpayers on the principles of transparency and mutual partnership.

Cash desk online

The State Tax Committee continues to work on the phased transfer of business entities to the use of online cash registers and virtual cash registers.

To date, 5 types of online cash registers, 4 types of virtual cash registers and 7 technical service centers have been entered in the State Register.

Today, about 21 thousand stores and business entities selling alcohol, tobacco, medical products and gas stations are equipped with online cash registers.

The use of online cash registers and virtual cash registers increases the level of consumer protection - an electronic check is stored in the database, which simplifies the resolution of contentious issues;

It also provides operational interaction with tax authorities - data transfer occurs in real time;

In addition, it provides the opportunity to work transparently, without hiding the momentum from the fiscal organs.

All these forms a positive image of the company, and also guarantees the strengthening of trusting relationships with consumers and tax authorities.

With ESF, accounting is more reliable and easier

At the moment, the transfer of business entities to electronic invoices is provided at an accelerated pace.

Today, in Uzbekistan, business entities provide services to 17 operators of electronic invoices (ESF).

The use of electronic invoices is becoming increasingly popular especially among VAT payers. Of the current 87.5 thousand VAT payers, more than 73 thousand or 83.8% switched to ESF.

Electronic invoices help to conduct a transparent policy with respect to business partners and tax authorities, which helps to avoid, for example, breaking the VAT chain. By the way, this is one of the most common reasons for additional tax assessment.

Given these advantages, the State Tax Committee is actively involving business entities in the use of electronic invoices.

Today, more than 153 thousand legal entities and more than 16 thousand individual entrepreneurs form electronic invoices in the republic. Currently, the total number of ESFs formed by about 170 thousand business entities is 5.9 million.

Quality Assurance Labeling

On behalf of the President of the country, the State Tax Committee also carries out systematic work to introduce a system for marking goods with identification tools and their further traceability.

In particular, in the country at 5 enterprises of alcoholic beverages, 3 - for the production of beer and 2 - for the production of tobacco products, a pilot project on the labeling of goods was implemented.

It should be noted that the widespread introduction of digital technologies in the tax sphere, improving the quality of services, limiting human factor interference in the processes are the priority tasks of the State Tax Committee, which will certainly help reduce the shadow economy and ensure transparency in doing business.
