State visit of Uzbek President to Kazakhstan ends

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – The state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to the Republic of Kazakhstan and the summit of the heads of Central Asian states have concluded.

During the visit in Astana, the leaders of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan held a private meeting and the first session of the Supreme Interstate Council. A substantial package of bilateral agreements was signed, and a ceremony was held to launch joint projects.

Kazakhstan's President, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, presented the highest state award of Kazakhstan, the Order of "Altyn Qyran," to President Mirziyoyev for his exceptional contribution to strengthening Uzbek-Kazakh friendship.

The leaders also participated in the unveiling of a monument dedicated to the great poet and philosopher Alisher Navoi in Kazakhstan's capital.

Today, President Mirziyoyev attended the sixth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of Central Asian States, where he outlined priority areas for further strengthening regional cooperation.

A ceremony was held to present Shavkat Mirziyoyev with the Honorary Badge of the Heads of Central Asian States for his outstanding contributions to the development of friendship, good-neighborliness, and mutual understanding in the region.

On the sidelines of the summit, a meeting was held with the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, where they discussed further strengthening bilateral relations of friendship, good-neighborliness, and strategic partnership.

At the conclusion of the visit, the high guest was seen off at Astana International Airport by Kazakhstan's Prime Minister, Olzhas Bektenov. President Mirziyoyev has returned to Tashkent.
