State Tourism Committee intends to attract foreign investors to develop mountain tourism infrastructure in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of the State Committee of Uzbekistan led by the Chairman of the Committee Aziz Abdukhakimov paid a visit to Bursa, which is famous for its mountain resorts, within visit to Turkey.

The purpose of the visit was acquaintance with infrastructure of mountain tourism in Bursa, including experience of attracting investors in construction of funiculars, winter tourism facilities, hotels and other facilities in Uludag mountains, the press service of the State Committee of Tourism of Uzbekistan said.

During the visit, the delegation of the State Committee for Tourism met with the Governor of Bursa province Mr. I. Kuchun, the Deputy Governor Mr. F. Kadyroğli, the head of the Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey in Bursa province, Mr. A. Damar, the head of the regional branch of the Association TURSAB Mr. G. Salih. The Uzbek delegation also held a number of meetings with entrepreneurs and tour operators of the province.

Within the framework of the visit, a presentation of the tourist potential of Uzbekistan was presented and videos of the sights of Bukhara, Khiva, Samarkand and other tourist regions of Uzbekistan were shown.

The Uzbek delegation visited objects of Ulugdag mountains and met with manager of TELEFERIK HOLDING Mr. U. Atasoy. TELEFERIK HOLDING constructed and manages longest cable line Bursa Teleferik.

During the meeting, the participants discussed proposals for construction of mountain cable cars and funiculars in Chimgan and Charvak recreation zone.

The sides agreed to organize a visit of representatives of TELEFERIK HOLDING and Austrian company LEITNER on 23-27 November 2017.

During the visit, it is planned to work out concrete measures for implementation of funicular railway construction projects in Uzbekistan.
