Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A norm was abolished in Uzbekistan, giving the right to tax authorities to undoubtedly write off tax debts from bank cards of individuals.

This provision was repealed by a decree of the President of Uzbekistan dated December 26, 2018.

In June 2018, the President signed a document on fundamental improvement of the activities of the state tax service bodies.

The document gave the tax authorities the right to undoubtedly write off the arising tax arrears from bank accounts serving the plastic cards of individual taxpayers.

At the same time, according to the document, the amount of the write-off should not exceed two minimum monthly wages.
