Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with experts of the International Monetary Fund.

The sides discussed issues of tax administration, as well as the adoption of a strategy in this direction. The efforts of experts will be directed to ensure that the strategy meets international standards and all the requirements of modern taxation. The IMF experts highly appreciated the work done in this area by tax structures, and also made valuable suggestions for improving the document.

During the meeting, it was noted that in order to successfully implement the strategy, a special department was created in the structure of the Committee, one of the main functions of which would be to monitor its execution, as well as to prepare the necessary legal documentation.

Today, a meeting of representatives of the Committee with experts from the World Bank also took place. The main topic of conversation was the content of the strategy for the introduction of value added tax. The parties discussed working points related to the improvement of the payment of this tax.
