Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The State Tax Committee held a meeting with representatives of the Project for the Provision of Fellowships for Training Personnel (JDS) under the programme of gratuitous assistance to the Government of Japan, the press service of the State Tax Committee said.

The main objective of the project is to assist citizens of Uzbekistan in obtaining a master’s and doctorate degrees at leading universities in Japan. For young civil servants, this is a promising opportunity to contribute to the socio-economic development of Uzbekistan after graduation.

Every year, 17 young and talented employees of state institutions of Uzbekistan who are studying at universities in Japan are selected on a competitive basis within the framework of the Project.

The JDS Project involves more than 75 target organizations of Uzbekistan representing the public sector. One of them is the State Tax Committee.

To date, 7 STC employees have already completed training on the JDS Project at leading universities in Japan, which allowed them to upgrade their positions and contribute to the development of the field.

Following the meeting, JDS representatives expressed their intention in actively involving STC employees in the project.
