Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On the morning of 17 March, the State Tax Committee (STC) recorded 1,635 appeals. Most of all, people complain about the increase in prices for potatoes (497), flour (306) and vegetable oil (63).

A large number of complaints relate to higher prices for medical masks. 240 such requests were received by the STC. 46 applicants complained about inflated prices for antiseptic agents.

In the regional context, the most complaints are in Samarkand region (238), the city of Tashkent (288) and Andijan region (202). Least of all appeals came from Khorezm region (12), the Republic of Karakalpakstan (16) and the Syrdarya region (17).

For all appeals, careful work is carried out by tax officials, preventive measures are taken to prevent price increases, decisive measures are taken against unscrupulous entrepreneurs. Each complaint is under the control of the management of the STC.
