State Tax Committee denied rumors about the " difficult working conditions" of employees

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The State Tax Committee (STC) denied rumors about the “difficult working conditions” of the tax officers of Uzbekistan.

Recently, information about the “hard working conditions” of the tax authorities of the republic was spread in social networks. Allegedly, employees are forced to work overtime and sometimes with no days off.

Normat Tursunov, head of Tashkent city tax department, said: “These rumors are groundless, I can assure you. The working day of employees is strictly regulated. As for meetings, which are again rumored to be held almost at six in the morning, this is also not true. In principle, we have moved away from the practice of holding long meetings, and at such an early time they have never happened at all. Our work requires efficiency and concentration in practice, rather than lengthy reasoning and fees. ”

“Since the tax service of the republic is state bodies, I agree, there are cases that some employees are involved in work on weekends. However, labor legislation is also complied with here - each such day is paid in double amount according to the charter or at the discretion of the employee he can take time off. Control over the observance of the rights of workers is exercised by the trade union,” Tursunov said.
