State Tax Committee continues to study the foreign experience of declaring

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - In the Address of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on 24 January 2020, it was noted that all sectors of the population should be involved in the fight against corruption, the best specialists should participate in this and international experience should be involved. “From eliminating the consequences of corruption, we must move on to its early warning,” said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

By the end of this year, in Uzbekistan, with the involvement of foreign experts, a system for declaring the income and property of civil servants will be created and all organizational and legal frameworks will be developed.

The State Tax Committee continues to study the international experience of declaring the assets of civil servants, as this is one of the effective measures to combat corruption, ensuring transparency of the activities of state bodies

German experience in declaring assets of officials.

Residents of Germany must submit annually a mandatory declaration of income and property.

The deadline for filing a mandatory income statement is July 31.

Sanctions for failure to file a declaration

a) coercion by a fine or arrest;

b) penalty for each delayed day of submission of the declaration.

Information is posted on the official websites of the body or organization in which the employee holds the position.

According to the Bundestag Member Act and the Code of Conduct, the information contained in declarations is publicly available. Information relating to income from collateral activities will be published by category.

The information contained in the declarations is published in the Official Directory and on the website of the German Bundestag.

All government officials must disclose information within one month after taking office. This period may be extended to two months for those in elected positions other than ministers. After taking office, each official must submit information every five years.

German officials cannot take their position until financial information is presented. All officials are also required to disclose income and property information within one month after leaving office.
