Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - State security services in Jizzakh region, together with the regional customs department, detained a citizen of the Republic of Tajikistan, born in 1970, living in Sughd region of Tajikistan and two residents of Bakhmal district of Jizzakh region, born in 1983 and 1984, when selling 9 kg 530 gr. of the opium for US$55,000.

It should be noted that this narcotic substance was smuggled from Tajikistan.

During an operational event carried out by State Security Service officers together with the regional Department of Internal Affairs, three citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan born in 1958, 1976 and 1985 were detained in Zaamin district, from whom 2 kg 986 grams of narcotic substance "hashish" were procedurally confiscated.

Another citizen of the Republic of Tajikistan, born in 1979, was also detained, who was waiting for them at a catering establishment in the town of Dashtabad.

It was established that this drug was imported from Tajikistan.

During an operational event carried out by employees of the State Security Service of Kashkadarya region together with the regional departments of customs and internal affairs, at the traffic police post "Shirinbulok" of Mubarek district, a Matiz car driven by a resident of the city of Bukhara, born in 1982, and moving in the direction “Bukhara - Kashkadarya”was stopped and inspected.

As a result, 973 grams of heroin were found and procedurally confiscated from a 25-year-old passenger in this car.

In addition, it was established that 1 kg 968 grams of heroin were buried on the territory of Kagan district of Bukhara region, which was also seized in a procedural manner.

Currently, criminal cases have been initiated against the defendants under Articles 246 and 273 of the Criminal Code, with the use of a preventive measure in the form of detention.

An investigation is underway.
