State reservoirs to be leased to business entities through "E-auksion"

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Government resolution approved the Regulations on the procedure for leasing state water bodies to business entities through the E-auksion electronic trading platform.

According to the Regulation, from 1 October 2023, state-owned water bodies will be leased through an online auction on an e-commerce platform to organize the following activities, subject to the following use:

state natural and artificial reservoirs (reservoirs) - for industrial breeding and fishing;

natural and artificial reservoirs (reservoirs) and non-agricultural land around rivers - to create beach areas near the water, provide recreational fishing services, fishing, boating and water travel, trade in fish products, including fish dishes, provide catering services and other

tourism services, as well as for the placement of light-weight installations (camp complex, containers) for these purposes.

At the same time, the installation of light structures on natural and artificial reservoirs (reservoirs), as well as on non-agricultural land plots around rivers, is carried out in the manner prescribed by law.

This Regulation does not apply to:

natural and artificial reservoirs, the term of the lease agreements for which has not expired;

Aidaro-Arnasay system of lakes;

other state property leased on the basis of Decrees of the President or the Government.

A reservoir (land plot) is leased on a contractual basis through an open electronic online auction for at least 10 years, with the right to extend this period for an additional 10 years.

Entrepreneurs can take the initiative to lease a reservoir by making appropriate proposals to the landlord.
