Representatives of businesses from Tashkent, workers of Khorezm regional administration, State Property Committee and others participated at the event.

First Deputy Governor of Khorezm region Ms Khodjiniyozova stated that the region conducts wide-scale work on development of small and private entrepreneurship, service sector and modernization of existing capacities.

UzA news agency reorted that the region adopted a pogramme on organization of capacities on production of industrial products and service enterprises, programme on development of tourism and increasing export potential of tourism services for 2012-2015. New production and service points were launched on the base of 95 unused objects.

It is planned to attract investments for 147.9 billion soums and US$102 million. In the result, it is expected that 5,200 new jobs will be created in the region.

The participants underlined that development of tourism and export potential of tourism service in Khorezm region is perspective. Annually, over 10,000 tourists visit the region. The region adopted measures to increase tourists, including construction of new hotels, organization of transportation routes, etc.

At the business forum, the participants received information on business opportunities of Khorezm region, projects on attracting investments to launching of new capacities at 12 large industrial enterprises and others.
