Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - At the meetings of the Central Bank’s leadership held on 4-5 June, the uninterrupted operation of established payment terminals and ATMs in this territory was monitored in Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions.

The main purpose of such meetings held throughout the republic is to study and improve the existing conditions for expanding the infrastructure of payment services in the regions, improving the quality of the services provided and ongoing work to support the development of a cashless payment system in the republic.

During the trip, practical seminars were organized for employees of commercial banks, where they considered important tasks for the development of payment services. In particular, it was emphasized that great attention should be paid to the full provision of business entities with terminals of national payment systems, as well as providing explanations for using these devices.

Also, the creation of a sufficient reserve of bank cards and timely meeting the demand of the population and business entities for bank cards, as well as the expansion of remote banking services in the current pandemic, by explaining to customers the benefits and convenience of these services, were noted as priorities.

Directly by the on-site field team, issues related to the use of payment terminals by sellers of outlets in the city of Termez, in the areas of Jarkurgan and Angor in Surkhandarya region, as well as in the markets of Farhad and Erkurgan in Kashkadarya region, were studied.
