On 20 December, the Government of Uzbekistan issued a resolution on the organization of the State Museum of the History of Applied Arts and Handicrafts of Uzbekistan.
A new museum is being created on the basis of the Museum of Applied Arts of Uzbekistan. In 2017-2019, the museum building will be reconstructed, and new exhibition hall and administrative building will be built.
Asaka Bank and Aloqabank will provide 12 billion soums for these works. Due to these funds, they will pay compensation to citizens for demolished houses.
The museum will work on preserving and propaganda of unique applied art and handicraft, as well as study traditions of schools and works of applied art and handicraft.
It will organize museum expositions aimed at broadly propagating the achievements of our country in the field of culture, art and other spheres.
The museum will preserve, study, demonstrate and promote museum items and collections. It will also carry out educational events for citizens.
