State Investment Committee is an authorized state body, responsible for coordination of forming and realizing single state investment policy and attracting foreign investments.

New committee will coordinate work on forming and conducting single state investment policy, including attracting foreign investments, directed at stimulating expansion of the volume of investments in the sectors of economy and regions of the country.

It will also improve investment climate in Uzbekistan and support development of enterprises with foreign capital.

The committee will improve legislative base in attracting foreign investments and creating favourable conditions for expanding investment activities in Uzbekistan.

New body will participate in forming, agreeing and monitoring investment programme of Uzbekistan and regional investment programmes.

The committee will attract foreign investments, first of all direct investment, loans and technical assistance to realize investment projects.

Decision of the State Investment Committee will be mandatory for execution of the state bodies, economic entities, etc.

Advisors of trade-economic issues at diplomatic offices of Uzbekistan in foreign states and permanent offices of Uzbekistan at international and foreign financial institutions will be part of the State Committee of Uzbekistan on investments.

Advisers on trade and economic issues are accountable to the State Committee of Uzbekistan for investments, the document said.

Advisers on trade and economic issues will be appointed by the decree of the chairperson of the State Committee of Uzbekistan on investments in coordination with the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan.
