Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan will support creation of family guest houses. Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov signed the relevant resolution.
Family guest house is a private homeowner who provides temporary accommodation and / or catering services for up to 10 visitors (tourists) on the principle of their cohabitation in this family guest house together with the owner of the house and members of his family. An important condition for the organization of a family guest house is the availability of a living space of 3 square meters per resident. The resolution envisages other requirements for these accommodation facilities.
Services of family guest houses are provided by individual entrepreneurs or subjects of family business. Registration and maintenance of the Unified Register of Family Guest Houses is carried out by the State Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
There is a simplified system for certification of family guest house services. It is made by including them in the Unified Register of Family Guest Houses on the basis of an act of studying a family guest house, with the issuance of an appropriate statement from the Unified Register of Family Guest Houses.
Commercial banks are recommended to allocate loans on preferential terms at the request of individual entrepreneurs and subjects of family business included in the Single Register of Family Guest Houses. The amount of the loan is up to 300 minimum wages at a rate not exceeding the refinancing rate of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan for a period of 5 years, including a 2-year grace period.
At the same time, half of the amount of interest on loans to commercial banks, whose interest rate does not exceed 1.5 times the refinancing rate of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, is subsidized at the expense of the off-budget Tourism Support Fund under the State Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The Ministry of Finance together with the State Committee for Development of Tourism were ordered within three months to submit proposals for establishment of a separate fixed tax rate for individual entrepreneurs providing services to family guest houses, depending on their location and category.
