Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan will reduce the state duty for licensing the design of mobile communication networks.

This is envisages by the law “On amendments to certain legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in order to improve the conditions for expanding Internet and communications coverage on the territory of the republic,” which was signed by the President of Uzbekistan.

According to the document, high state fees for licensing the design of mobile communication networks and the lack of suitable conditions for the development of satellite communication networks limit the use of this means of communication in local networks and make it difficult to expand access to the Internet and communications in mountainous and inaccessible regions.

As part of the amendments to the laws “On State Duty” and “On Licensing, Permits and Notification Procedures”, it is stipulated the addition of existing types of licensing activities, including design, construction, operation and provision of services in the field of mobile radiotelephone (radiotelephone, trunk) communications.

The state fee for licensing the design of mobile radiotelephone (cellular) communication networks has been reduced from 400 to 200 basic estimated values.
