State Demonopolization Committee sums up 1H 2012 results
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- State Committee of Uzbekistan on Demonopolization and Development of Competition held a session to sum up results of the first half of 2012.

The committee said that it continued to execute programme on financial support and full use of capacities of enterprises at 978 enterprises. Some 1,202 trillion soums of investments were directed to rehabilitation of their capacities, including 850.7 billion soums loans of the banks.

In the result, the enterprises produced goods and services to render services for 2.266 trillion soums. They exported goods and services for US$150.6 million and created over 14,000 new jobs.

Representatives of State Demonopolization Committee participated at sessions of tender commission to ensure competition in placement of state orders, which led to abolishment of results of 22 trades.

In the reporting period, monopoly enterprises realized their goods via exchanges and received additional income for 804.3 billion soums, which were directed to modernization and expansion of the capacities.

The committee said that it compensated losses of consumers for 483.5 billion soums in the result of monitoring and studying of consumer markets.

The committee added that it received over 4,000 complaints and 89% of them were solved in favour of consumers. Corresponding explanations were given on 11% of complaints.
