State Council of China presented recommendations for the innovative development of foreign trade

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 9 November, the State Council of the People’s Republic of China issued recommendations on the innovative development of national foreign trade.

Measures to promote trade development in nine areas are proposed, including the search for new ways to develop the international market, optimization of the domestic structure of foreign trade and increasing the competitiveness of foreign trade companies.

China must actively negotiate and negotiate more high standard free trade and regional trade agreements, effectively leveraging new technologies and channels to tap the international market.

It should focus on improving the quality of trade in the eastern regions of the country, increasing the share of trade in the central and western regions, expanding the openness of the northeastern regions, while at the same time innovating the mechanisms of interregional cooperation.

It is necessary to strengthen the systematic management of enterprises of various types in order to increase the competitiveness of both large foreign trade companies and medium and small enterprises.

In addition, measures are recommended to optimize the structure of exports and imports, introduce innovative forms of trade and create platforms to stimulate foreign trade.

This year, China has managed to maintain stability in its foreign trade, despite disruptions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the first 10 months of 2020, China’s foreign merchandise trade grew 1.1% year on year, according to the customs service. Compared to the three-quarter indicator of 0.7%, the growth rate accelerated.
