State Competition Committee: UZPAYNET sets discriminatory conditions to payment agents

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Privatization, Demonopolization and Development of Competition studied an agreement, signed between UZPAYNET and its payment agents, for abuse of dominating position in the market as the committee received complaints from business entities.

The committee said that it found facts of discriminative conditions against payment agents.

The committee worked with UZPAYNET to improve the agreement and simplified agreement and eliminated some fines.

The agreement included 16 fines, which can be levied by UZPAYNET. The committee excluded seven of fines to eliminate unfair fining business entities. Some fines were eliminated as the legislation already sets these fines for violation of legislation.

At the same time, the agreement set maximum size of fine, which should not led to worsening of financial situation of business entities.
