State Communication Committee discuss quality of telecommunication networks’ work
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- State Committee for Communication, Informatization and Telecommunication Technologies of Uzbekistan held a session dedicated to quality of work of telecommunication network in Uzbekistan in five months of 2013, the press service of the committee said.

Currently, Uzbekistan carries out work on introduction of broadband telecommunication networks. Number of broadband communication ports reached 407,900. Number of used ports reached 207,100. The growth rate made up 76.8% and 36.3% respectively. This helped significantly increase number of subscribers, who use high speed fixed communication lines.

Within the session, the participants considered works of Uzbektelecom, its divisions, mobile communication operators on execution of repairing networks.

It was underlined that it is necessary to “use regular approach in exploitation of telecommunication network and supply with necessary materials and spare parts”. It was stated that careful planning of repair and expansion works at networks by all operators will improve quality of services.

Mobile communication operators briefed the participants on development of networks, attraction of investments, introduction and development of new services, current state of processing complaints of citizens, etc.

At the end of the meeting, the session adopted decision on measures directed at improving of quality of telecommunication and mobile communication services, effective use of telecommunication network resources, training high skilled specialists, etc.

The telecommunication operators, State inspection of supervision of communication, informatization and telecommunication technologies and other organizations were entrusted to ensure implementation of these measures.
