Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Presidential Decree “On measures to further improve public administration in the field of technical regulation” was adopted, which is aimed at improving public administration in the field of technical regulation in Uzbekistan.

According to the decree, the Uzbek Agency for Technical Regulation will now report to the Cabinet of Ministers.

One of the main directions of his activity will be the digitalization of the sphere of technical regulation, expansion of the types of public services for entrepreneurs, and the introduction of a transparent and effective system free of corruption.

From 1 October 2024, a procedure for state registration of high-risk products produced and imported from abroad will be introduced.

The certificate of state registration must be placed in the Customs Information System “Single Window” and the Unified Electronic Information System for Foreign Trade Operations before the arrival of products on the territory of the republic.

From 1 September 2024, state inspectors will be authorized to carry out operational control activities without prior approval from the Authorized Representative for the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of business entities.

Mandatory notification of the Commissioner about the inspection carried out through registration in the Unified Electronic Registration System for Inspections will be carried out within 24 hours from the start of the inspection.
