Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Presidential Decree “On measures to raise football to a completely new stage in the development of Uzbekistan” has been adopted.

The decree defines the main directions of development of professional football in Uzbekistan.

Among them, improving the system for identifying and selecting (breeding) young highly gifted soccer players, establishing a system of “exporting soccer players” to leading clubs.

In accordance with the Decree, football skill schools and youth sports schools under the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports are being created on the basis of youth football schools.

Also, starting from the academic year 2020/2021, training will be organized in the relevant educational institutions for specialists in the areas of “sports doctor”, “sports psychologist”, “sports pharmacologist”, “sports lawyer” and “sports nutritionist”.

To ensure fairness and transparency of meetings between the teams of the Super League, starting from the football season of 2021, the VAR system (Video Assistant Referee, video assistant of the referee) has been introduced.

According to the Decree, in order to increase the investment attractiveness of football from 1 January 2021, it is allowed to carry out bookmaking activities in Uzbekistan.

Until 1 June 2020, draft regulatory acts on the implementation of bookmaking activities will be developed.

They will include such issues as the licensing of bookmaking activities by the Agency for the Development of the Capital Market, the introduction of mechanisms of state control over the implementation of this activity
