Starting from 14 April, Uzbekistan Airways only to accept passengers with Hajj visas on flights to Jeddah
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Beginning from 14 April 2025, in connection with the launch of the "Hajj 2025" program, Uzbekistan Airways is introducing new restrictions for passengers holding Umrah visas. Passengers with Umrah visas will no longer be accepted on flights operating on the Tashkent–Jeddah and Jeddah–Tashkent routes.
According to the airline, all passengers traveling to Saudi Arabia on Uzbekistan Airways flights from 14 April 2025, must hold a return ticket to Tashkent on the same airline and are required to leave Saudi Arabia no later than 30 April 2025.
If passengers remain in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia after 30 April 2025, any resulting fines or penalties will be the responsibility of the travel agent and/or the passengers themselves.
Flights on the Tashkent–Jeddah–Tashkent route will be suspended as of 30 April 2025, in accordance with a directive issued by the General Authority of Civil Aviation of Saudi Arabia.
These measures are aimed at ensuring a safe and efficient transport process for Hajj 2025 pilgrims and at complying with the requirements set by Saudi authorities.
