Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- China will introduce a zero tariff regime for 98 percent of products from the list of customs and tariff nomenclature produced in 16 least developed countries, Dunyo news agency reported.
According to China’s Xinhua News Agency, "this policy measure, which will come into effect on 1 September this year, will promote the sharing of market opportunities, the implementation of common development, and promote the building of a community with a common destiny for mankind."
This regime will be gradually extended to all least developed countries that have established diplomatic relations with China, the statement said.
The agency does not provide a specific list of countries.
