St. Petersburg and Uzbekistan are interested in implementing joint projects in the construction industry and expanding trade and economic cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of an official visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov met with Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic for Investments and Foreign Economic Relations - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Jamshid Khodjaev. During the conversation, issues of trade and economic cooperation between St. Petersburg and the Republic of Uzbekistan were discussed.

“Representatives of the business community, enterprises and organizations of the Northern capital are interested in expanding and strengthening bilateral ties, implementing joint projects in the construction industry and developing transport infrastructure,” said Alexander Beglov.

Petersburg enterprises are ready to organize and expand the supply of medical and pharmaceutical cluster products, furniture and other goods.

In turn, the Northern capital is interested in expanding the supply of high-quality fruits and vegetables. To this end, the possibility of creating a network of wholesale distribution centers in St. Petersburg focused on products from the Republic of Uzbekistan is being worked out.
