Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The head coach of the Uzbekistan national football team, Srečko Katanec, has announced the squad for the third round of World Cup 2026 qualifiers against Iran and the UAE.

The Uzbekistan national team will begin preparations in Tashkent on 7 October. The first match will take place on 10 October against Iran, and the second on 15 October against the UAE.

Squad:

Goalkeepers: Utqir Yusupov (Foolad, Iran), Abduvokhid Nematov (Nasaf), Botirali Ergashov (Neftchi).

Defenders: Umar Eshmurodov (Selangor, Malaysia), Rustam Ashurmatov (Rubin, Russia), Husniddin Alikulov (Rizespor, Turkey), Abduqodir Husonov (Lens, France), Farrukh Sayfiev (Navbahor), Khojiakbar Alijonov (Pakhtakor), Sherzod Nasrullaev (Nasaf).
