Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Exhibition Complex Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy (VDNKh) became a venue for celebrations on the occasion of the spring holiday Navruz.

Navruz 2019 was organized by the Department of National Policy and Interregional Relations of the Moscow City Hall.

Navruz has become an indispensable attribute of the cultural life of the Russian capital: the scope and scale of its celebration are becoming wider, attracting thousands of residents and guests of the megalopolis.

This year, the holiday began with a solemn procession: boys and girls in national costumes of different nations congratulated the guests on the arrival of spring. The subsequent theatrical show program with the participation of pop stars, creative vocal and dance groups made the event even more interesting, original and unforgettable.

At the VDNKh sites, 18 national pavilions of peoples celebrating Navruz were deployed. The Uzbek pavilion was especially crowded: here the guests were told in detail about the history of Nowruz, customs and legends associated with it. It was noted that in the days of its celebration people feel a surge of strength and energy, and again and again discover the deep meaning of centuries-old values ​​and traditions.

Great interest among visitors was caused by the unfolded exhibition of national costumes and products of the national applied art of Uzbekistan, each of which, according to the guests, is a masterpiece of art, striking with its brightness and incredible combination of colors.

In the open area of the Exhibition of Economic Achievements the Pilaf Festival was organized. This year it became even bigger: 30 cauldrons and three tons of rice - almost every guest of the holiday could appreciate the variety of taste of this dish from the best chefs. A culinary competition was organized here, in which 16 participants competed for the title of the best oshpaz.

In addition, visitors could see demonstrations on various types of national wrestling, in which 120 professional athletes took part. For young guests of the festival, the organizers have prepared exciting workshops and active games. The final chord was a dance flashmob "Round dance of friendship."
