The Indian company undertook obligation to invest US$27.78 million in next seven years to modernize technological equipment and expand production capacities of Spentex Tashkent Toytepa.

The company will produce at least 34,600 tonnes of cotton yarn and 8.4 million meters of ready fabrics staring from 2010, as well as export goods for at least US$78.1 million a year.

The Government of Uzbekistan adopted decision on conversion of redemption payments for property of Tashkent Toytepa Textile LLC at the size of US$44.8 million.

Spentex Industries LTD acquired Tashkent Toytepa Textile LLC for US$81 million in July 2006. Tashkent Toytepa Textile LLC includes two cotton-spinning plants in Toytepa (Tashkent region) and in Tashkent city.
