Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Toshshaharttransxizmat has implemented a new speed limit for all its buses, capping their maximum speed at 50 km/h through the use of a special program.

According to the company, this measure is aimed at enhancing passenger safety and reducing the number of accidents on the roads.

Special "50" stickers indicating the speed limit have been placed on the windows of the buses.

During test runs, the buses were unable to exceed the set speed limit.

It is worth noting that the general speed limit for vehicles in cities across Uzbekistan remains 60 km/h.
