In line with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan, academic lyceum will be created on the base of the Republican Specialized Boarding School of Music and Art. The decision was adopted to support interests of youth to wind and percussion musical instruments, ensure their special professional education and training high skilled performers.
Republican Specialized Academic Lyceum of Music and Art (RSALMA) will keep existing classes of general secondary education to ensure continuity of musical education and educational process.
The document said that students will be accepted to the fifth class on competitive bases from graduates of the fourth classes among educational schools and to the first course from graduates of the ninth class of the RSALMA.
According to the document, the lyceum will accept 200 students each year, including 170 students to the fifth class and 30 students to the first course of the secondary special professional education (wind and percussion musical instruments).
The RSALMA will train children on such directions as wind and percussion musical instruments, fine arts, applied arts, mother tongue and literature (oratorical art).
