Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the invitation of the Ministry of Transport and Road Safety of Israel, specialists of Uzbekistan Airports got acquainted with the activities of the David Ben Gurion International Airport, Dunyo news agency reported.
Specialists visited a number of airport departments that ensure the protection of public order, the work of the migration service, the security service. The Israeli side held presentations of the experience and the latest technologies used in the practice of the airport.
David Ben Gurion Airport, named after the country’s first prime minister, is Israel’s largest transportation hub.
In 2022, it served more than 20 million passengers. Experts predict that 25 million passengers will use the airport in 2023, which will break the record of 2019 that existed before the pandemic.
The airport is the base air platform for a number of Israeli airlines, in particular Arkia, EI AI, Israir Airlines, Sun d’Or. Non-stop passenger flights are carried out from the Airport to 137 destinations in 54 countries of the world.
